Ice climbing skills are essential on almost every Himalayan expedition. This course teaches front-pointing and flat-footing technique, placing ice screws, ascending and descending fixed lines, and moving safely as a roped team on glaciers.

Training is held on real Himalayan ice under the supervision of experienced Sherpa instructors, with a strong focus on crevasse rescue and self-arrest so you are ready for the mountains.
